Licenciado en Filología Hispánica (1999). Doctorado (2012): La interculturalidad en la enseñanza del alemán como lengua extranjera. Profesor en el Área de Español de la Universität des Saarlandes (2000-2002). Profesor en el Área de Alemán de la Universidad de Cádiz (2003-actualidad).
